Well what started off as a minor update turned into 40 changes/updates etc, man wasn't thinking there would be so much, anyways the iso Itself didn't grow any in size which is great because I removed Gaim, uxplor, and the gtk2 themes and added new apps such as lameSMBxplorer, pupRadio with streamripper recorder, dropbear, uget, Xchat, meebo link, gseptica, pupdial-up, Thunar and xfce gtk2 themes.

だいぶ盛り上がっているようなので2.14X5のisoファイルをダウンロードしてCDに焼いて使ってみました。

Celeron 533MHz, 256RAM のPCでもとても軽快に動きます。

しかし終了、再起動しようとするとハングアップします。
初回、終了、再起動時に聞かれる[Save] [Don't Save] などのコンソールメッセージが出ません。ブラックアウトしたままです。

個人ファイルも作れません。一体どうなっているのでしょう。2.14X5を使って成功している方はいませんか？

CUPSを入れたりしてかなりよくなっているようです。個人的に使ってみようと思ってます。

問題なく立ち上がり、PowerOffで問題なくpup_save.2fsを作るか聞いてきます。
どんな感じか見たかっただけなので、あまり細かく試しておりませんが、特に異常は感じなかったように記憶してます。
save-fileは作りませんでした。

だらだらと憚りながら214X（X1）ですが、
日本語化を行なってます。(過去の資産を活用しつつですが...)

214X5を試しに使っていたのですが、
私のほうもYoNさんと同じような症状が出ました。

ですので、個人的にはX1を触りつづけてます。
vfat領域の文字化けを解消するために
initrd.gzを編集していますが、
過去のトピックにあった様に
うまくutf8で表示されていませんorz
(/etc/fstabにある、vfatドライブを
shortname=mixedから、shortname=mixed,utf8
と書き加えれば解消される...のですが)

を参考にしているのですが、
力量不足の為に、
うまくいきません（汗

私もお手伝いできれば良いのですが、上の問題で、最初からつまづいています。

試した2台のPCはどちらも Intel 810 チップです。これが関係あるのかもしれません。
試しに子供が使っている別のPC（hp-6300dx）では、個人保存ファイルがちゃんと保存できます。

をヒントに218のkernel 2.6.18.1版のカーネルと
214Xのカーネル(X1,X5)の中身を見比べてみました。

pup2-218.sfsをマウントして
/lib/modules/2.6.18.1/kernel/drivers/char/drm
にはi810.koが入ってますが、
pup_214R.sfsの
同じディレクトリには無かったりと
ずいぶん214X側は
koファイルが削られているようです。

こういった内容ですので、
218のkernel 2.6.18.1版のカーネルから
koファイルを引っこ抜いたりするのも
ありかな。と思います。

ちなみに
私のリマスタ214Xでは、
218からのカーネルを
放り込んでみようと考えてますw
(ただし、只今ドン詰まり中ですorz)

組み込むしかないのかもです。

もしパピー214X7にurxvtが入っていれば、pmwgetの65行目

412x7JPにはurxvtがあるようなのでやってみました。

urxvtで「ストリームを見つけています・・・」と表示されますが、その先に進みません。

まったく使ったことがないのでどんなアプリか分かりません。

１：ソースを展開して、
２：streamsniff.c の日本語する（と思われる）箇所を日本語にしました。
３：protocols ディレクトリの extern.c も一部分日本語にしました。
４：あとは ./install.sh とするだけで streamsniff 実行ファイルができあがります。
